It has been an exciting week in our household! We have the entry lights painted oil rubbed bronze and functional. And, yes, you can paint the metal part of a light with pretty amazing results. We plan to sell our home as soon as possible, so we are not replacing anything that isn't necessary. With minor exceptions, the upstairs is complete and perfectly caulked and painted, walls, ceilings and trim. All fresh for some lucky new family. When I get further along unpacking, I will post pics. Confused? Yes, not all unpacked yet from moving here. And, we plan to sell the house.I also changed some things on my blog. Did you notice the pic included with this post? It is available at 1st Floor Flat. Be sure to check out Susie's blog, and if I were you, I would follow along with it. She offers lots of free images and tips for blogging. My thanks to her for the heads up on clickable buttons addition you see just below the header going to my websites. She shared the link to Itkupilli who has a tutorial if you are interested. Many thanks to 1st Floor Flat.
Today I saw right on the top of blogger blogs, that there is a button that says, FOLLOW BLOG. You all probably knew that was there all along. I'm always searching people's blogs for the follow box with pictures of everyone in it. Geesh! How easy is that button at the top of the page?
The biggest change of the week? We went to the state capital and turned in our Texas licenses for Vermont ones. A moment of silence is appropriate.

Hi Nancy,
I'm a frequent visitor to first floor flat, so wonderful! New, New Englander, we have Texas in common, my hubby is from there. He reminises every once in awhile but loves Maine. Vermont isn't far, snow country for sure. Welcome.
I hever noticed that button either. That is so funny!!!
Blessings,
Christine
Where in the South are you planning to go? I can understand missing the people and the weather! I'm from Alabama originally and am trying to talk Francois into moving back!
Marie: We don't have a specific destination because we are still dependent upon where a job will take us. If we were to choose, New Orleans, with our son, or Central or Panhandle of Florida. Those are really not an option, though, because my husband's industry has no plants there. We just keep looking for an opportunity.
Wow Nancy, these changes are the BEST! Ty for the tips too, love these ideas. Your blog looks beautiful, talk about hard work paying off! xJ
